OCI MISCELLANEOUS
As per the recent guidelines, updation of passport details in the OCI Card is mandatory on change of passport. If updated by an OCI cardholder within three months of issue of his/her new passport, service will continue to be provided free of charge. If updated after three months of receipt of passport, an amount of Ksh. 3230 equivalent to USD 25 + ICWF will be charged for the online updation of passport details.
To avail Miscellaneous Service, you must be an existing OCI Card Holder.
Important note for all OCI Renewal Applicants (Mandatory): Applicants are required to submit the originals along with a set of photocopies of the originals at the High Commission. Originals will be returned once the High Commission of India is satisfied with the documents provided. All photocopies need to be self-attested.
Photograph to be affixed on the application should be a square shape of size not less than 51*51mm (with 80% coverage of face). It should have plain light color background without the border with front view of person's head and shoulders showing the full face in middle of the photograph. It should not be stapled and not have any signature. The same photograph should be uploaded online together with a clear signature during online application. For minors, their thumb impression should be uploaded.

1. Passport Particulars Updation (For updating passport only)

1. Visit the OCI Services Portal at ociservices.gov.in
2. Click on 'Online Registration' and select 'OCI Miscellaneous Services'.
3. Authenticate your profile using your last linked passport number, OCI Card number, and Date of Birth.
4. Select “”Passport Particulars Updation.””
5. Complete the application form, upload the required supporting documents, and submit.
6. Upon scrutinity the applicant will receive an email for submission of application and payment at the High Commission. Applicants updating passport within 3 months need not to visit the High Commission.

Please note that Online passport updation will allow only change of passport number, in case of change in other particulars like change of name, Nationality, DOB, correction in name or change of address, apply in other category as below.

2. Change of Personal Particular (Change/Correction in name, DOB, Nationality etc)

1. Visit the OCI Services Portal at ociservices.gov.in
2. Click on 'Online Registration' and select 'OCI Miscellaneous Services'.
3. Authenticate your profile using your last linked passport number, OCI Card number, and Date of Birth.
4. Select “”Personal Particulars Updation.””
5. Complete the application form, upload the required supporting documents, and submit.
6. Book an appointment on hcinairobi.gov.in and come with the documents required.
7. Visit the High Commission of India with print out of the application along with copy & original relevant documents for submission and payment.
8. Once approved by the High Commission, download your new digital card under the 'e-OCI Card' tab on the portal.

3.Change in Address/Occupation

3. Authenticate your profile using your last linked passport number, OCI Card number, and Date of Birth.
4. Select “”Change in Address/Occupation.”
5. Complete the application form, upload the required supporting documents, and submit.
6. Once approved by the High Commission, download your new digital card under the 'e-OCI Card' tab on the portal.

Please Note: The above list is not exhaustive and the High Commission of India reserves the right to ask for additional documents, if required.
Updation of Passport details takes 6-7 weeks subject to clearance. Applicants can continue travelling with their OCI card after updation. No new OCI is issued to applicants.
