Celebration of 74th Independence Day of India

            High Commission of India celebrated 74th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and the event was streamed live on Facebook @IndiainKenya. COVID19 situation did not dampen the spirits and a huge participation was witnessed online by Indians, Persons of Indian origin and friends of India.

  1. Indian Flag was unfurled by Acting High Commissioner (AHC) Mr. Ashish Sinha. He read out the speech of Honorable President of India to the nation and addressed the audience.
  2. A cultural programme was organized on the occasion, in which children presented various patriotic performances.
  3. AHC Mr. Sinha, accompanied by Defence Adviser Capt. Nitesh Garg, laid a wreath of flowers at the British and Indian War Memorial in Nairobi. The Memorial is dedicated to Indian and British Officers and men who laid down their lives in 1917 during the First World War.
