Mr. Sushil Prasad

Deputy High Commissioner and DPR to UNEP & UN-Habitat

Mr. Sushil Prasad is the Deputy High Commissioner of India in Kenya, and the Deputy Permanent Representative of India to the UNEP and the UN-Habitat since March 2025.

Mr Prasad is a career diplomat. He joined the Indian Foreign Service in 2010 and has held diplomatic assignments in Mexico City, Hanoi and Copenhagen.

He has also served in the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi as Deputy Secretary and Under Secretary in the Indian Ocean Region Division.

Mr Prasad has a Masters and M.Phil degree in Modern History. He speaks Hindi, English and Spanish. His hobbies are reading and trekking.

He is married to Ms. Priya Srivastava Prasad and they have two daughters.
